Planning

With a background consisting of both traditional town planning and environmental planning projects, EPS ensures clients are provided with specialist planning advice and consistent consultation throughout the project.

We specialise in the coordination of planning approval for a wide range of projects including: Development Applications, Rezoning Applications and Major Projects.

Building

Our involvement within the building development process ensures our clients are provided with specialist planning and building advice through to the completion of the project. The ephemeral nature of building codes within Australia requires informed design solutions and advice on compliance issues to ensure costly delays are avoided.

EPS offers assistance with the initial building design stages, and specializes in the preparation of relevant development documentation to ensure the timely approval of our client’s projects. Ongoing liaison with the designated consent authority allows EPS to negotiate the planning conditions and design issues relating to the building approval.

Our ability to deliver cohesive, professional planning and building advice is both time efficient and cost effective.

Due Diligence Assessments & Adivce

EPS assists clients with their Due Diligence process prior to investing in projects.

EPS can investigate and advise on the planning & environmental implications relating to a project prior to clients committing to proceeding or as advice for company boards or other investors.

Site Identification & Evaluation

Finding the right site for a project can be difficult. EPS can investigate and advise on the planning environmental implications relating to project sites and advise on site or project constraints to assist our clients considering whether to invest in a site for a particular project.

Visual Impact Assessments

Visual impact assessments are often required for large, unusual or highly contentious developments.

EPS has adept skills in assessing the visual impact of a proposal with regard to the landscape and amenity of the surrounding area.

Our assessments include preparation of photomontages and 3D images to provide a robust and detailed assessment that can clearly measure the level of a visual impact.

Bushfire Threat Assessment

Certain types of development and subdivisions require a Bushfire Threat Assessment.

The Planning for Bushfire provisions set out by the NSW Rural Fire Service provide a number of options for bushfire protection.

EPS assists our clients through evaluation and advice of bushfire related matters to ensure the right level of protection is advised that is both practical and cost effective.

Site Feasibility Assessment

Site feasibility studies provide a detailed assessment & report of a proposed development, examining the planning and environmental constraints of a site to evaluate whether to proceed with a proposed development.

Economic assessments can be included where required so clients can make a more informed decision on whether to commit to project.

Statement of Environmental Effects

Every Development Application requires a Statement of Environmental Effects to demonstrate the social, economic and environmental aspects of a proposed development.

The Statement also addresses the relevant planning legislation and instruments as well as providing a detailed description of the proposal.

EPS prepares detailed Statements of Environmental Effects so the relevant development authority can make an informed assessment of a proposal with the intention of minimising further requests for information, that can increase assessment time and costs.
